Helen TUBING and Helen Water Park are now hiring for the upcoming 2022 season!

 This is a seasonal position, ideal for students or others looking for a sunny, summer job. Our season runs from Mid May to Labor Day, with some weekend opportunities before and after.

We’re seeking motivated, outgoing river team members. The river team works as a team to provide tubes, lifejackets, and straps for all guests, help all guests enter and exit the river safely, and retrieve and organize all tubes from the river for continued operation. It’s a rewarding, team-oriented job. Pay starts at $14/hr and up according to experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform opening procedures
  • Provide guests tubes, lifejackets, and straps
  • Communicate important river rules, regulations, and recommendations
  • Assist guests to exit the river safely
  • Retrieve Cool River tubes and river gear and organize them for continued operation
  • Provide top-notch customer service to all of our guests including answering all questions, providing area information, and maintaining and communicating knowledge of all services
  • Facility up-keep, including cleaning bathrooms and stocking storage areas
  • Perform outpost closing procedures, including daily cleaning, trash-pick up, and stocking
  • Other tasks and assistance to team members, as qualified and as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays from June through early September
  • Exhibit sound and safe judgement
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • Energetic and able to respond quickly to visual cues and sounds
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in water and the river
  • Able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Spanish-language, Bilingual
  • CPR and First-Aid Certification
